Fooey to You! Kim Clement Strikes Again

Such Language from God!!!! "God" gave this prophecy to Kim Clement in Long Beach:

God said, fooey! The miracles of yesterday are gone, they are over. I have a new package. I have a brand new package, says the Spirit of God. Do not look back and insult Me by saying I am not the God of tomorrow, Alpha and Omega. God says, I have a brand new generation, I have a brand new sound, I have a brand new source of energy that I am giving to this Nation first. (Kim Clement prophecy, March 10, 2006 at http://www.kimclement.com/words/2006/March102006.html)
What kind of language is "God" going to use next? Fuddleduddle?

Easter Bunny = Christianity!!!??

Associated Press Online

A small Easter display was removed from the City Hall lobby on Wednesday out of concern that it would offend non-Christians.

The display a cloth Easter bunny, pastel-colored eggs and a sign with the words "Happy Easter" was put up by a City Council secretary. They were not purchased with city money.

Tyrone Terrill, the city's human rights director, asked that the decorations be removed. Terrill said no citizen had complained to him.

Council Member Dave Thune called it a shame.

"This has just gone too far," he said. "We can't celebrate spring with bunnies and fake grass?"

The council president, Kathy Lantry, said the removal wasn't about political correctness.

"As government, we have a different responsibility about advancing the cause of religion, which we are not going to do," she said.

It's not the first time a holiday symbol has been removed from City Hall. In 2001, red poinsettias were briefly banned from a holiday display because they were associated with Christmas.

The Easter bunny has something to do with Christianity?? What's next: banning Halloween, or Rudolph because they're "Christian"?

Official Islam a Harmless Religion?

Anyone who thinks Islam is just another religion that means no harm needs to read this story about Christian convert Abdul Rahman:

Afghan Man Faces Death for Allegedly Converting to Christianity

Excerpt:

KABUL, Afghanistan — An Afghan man who allegedly converted from Islam to Christianity is being prosecuted in a Kabul court and could be sentenced to death, a judge said Sunday...."We are not against any particular religion in the world. But in Afghanistan, this sort of thing is against the law," the judge said. "It is an attack on Islam. ... The prosecutor is asking for the death penalty."

By the way, where are the Islamic clerics in all of this? I haven't heard or read on the internet even one cleric condemning the trial of Abdul Raham.

Are You A Sinner?

Many of today's leading Christian writers and TV personalities, such as Joyce Meyer and Neil Anderson, maintain that we are not sinners anymore. Reformer Martin Luther disagreed and warned of the danger in this kind of thinking. In commenting on Romans 7 he wrote,

"Now notice what I said above, that the saints at the same time as they are righteous are also sinners; righteous because they believe in Christ, whose righteousness covers them and is imputed to them, but sinners because they do not fulfill the Law, are not without concupiscence, and are like sick men under the care of a physician; they are sick in fact but healthy in hope and in the fact that they are beginning to be healthy, that is, they are 'being healed.' They are people for whom the worst possible thing is the presumption that they are healthy, because they suffer a worse relapse." Abortion Alarm at USA Today!!!

USA Today has expressed alarm at the move in South Dakota to outlaw most abortions (see link above). They write, in part:

The stakes extend far beyond abortion. The notion of a constitutional right to privacy is also the barrier that prevents government meddling in other areas where sex intersects with religious belief. Before that doctrine was established, states commonly dictated what forms of sex are acceptable, even between consenting adults, and criminalized the sale or use of contraception.

Unless checked, the process South Dakota is starting could lead to the most draconian rollback of personal liberties in U.S. history.

Yes, the next thing you know those self-righteous moralists are going to insist that you can't kill your 1 month old baby either, to say nothing of opposing the marriage of a 30 year old to a 5 year old!!! Let's keep privacy alive!!! Do these people at USA Today have a conscience at all?
