Todd Bentley - Jesus With the Bambi Eyes!

Bentley is involved in a "revival" in Lakeland, Florida. The first person you'll see is prophetess Patricia King who introduces Bentley. Talk about an unsettling video!

If you consider these folk to be 'self appoint' rather than 'God anointed' you need to defend you position as a 'self appointed' heresy hunter. Seek out God ... he alone has the authority to identify heresy ... seek God ... enjoy his goodness .. and if he tells you that something is a heresy then you have the authority to speak. In the mean time you have joy. Satan wants to distract us. Remember 'peace and joy' are indicators of the Holy Spirit. Constant 'worrying' about so called heresies 'under every bed' will not bring joy. Finally remember the Biblical Caution: Not many of you should PRESUME TO BE TEACHERS. Such postings fall within that definition. You need o remember that it is your choice ... but you have to be prepared for the warning - teachers will be judged by a higher standard. If you are still comfortable... then continue with 'your ministry' Desiring your best ...

I shall continue with my ministry, as should all Christians, and be watchful of the wolves and false doctrine that invade the church, as Scripture admonishes us to do.

You should be thankful for the revival in florida because the fire is just starting and it is going AROUND THE WORLD so you will have LOTS to heresy about especially if you get paid for what you do!

You should go get some!

We've been through all this before with the Toronto Blessing and Brownsville, but people never learn. People always end up disillusioned and the church itself suffers a drop in membership. Christians today aren't satisfied with Christ and the Gospel message - they have to have an "experience." By the way, I don't get paid.

By the way, have you checked Todd Bentley's background, Holly? It might explain his unusual remarks about Bambi eyes and pink rainbows.

Heresy Hunter - The Sadducces and the Pharisees had Religious spirits, they judged everything that Jesus said and did - then they killed him! He had a different message. 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself' and 'pray for your enemies'. God is the only just judge since he looks at the heart. Gossip is like witchcraft. Dangerous places to be!

It's more than gossip, Sharon, it's confirmed. And we are told to judge doctrine, and I don't remember reading in Scripture about an angel named Emma. I don't remember reading about letting practicing homosexuals speak at a revival (namely, Paul Cain). Even the supporters are having second thoughts (see Lee Grady).

Pray for people - don't talk about them. You'll feel a lot better if you follow what God/Jesus says. He loves those people just as much as he loves you. Gossip IS witchcraft. The church is full of gossipers and it destroys churches and people. You are promoting it. People pass along what they read on your site. I don't care what someone says on those videos. The Sadducees and Pharisees thought they were right in judging Jesus and it really made them mad when he went beyond their Religious understanding and teachings of the day and introduced a new thing. It cost him his life. That is a fact!! You need to pray and pray some more for people. You are in a dangerous place.

Of course you're issuing this same warning to the apostle Paul, who publicly, and in print, called out false teachers on the carpet, and did so by name. You're advice is to silently pray for them and say nothing. Satan would love that advice. We are explicitly told to beware of wolves in the church and act on it.

Sharon and Andy, respectfully, you both are deceived. You have accused Bob Hunter of being unloving and a gossip but it is clear that you both lack understanding God and His Word which you claim to follow. You are more interested in protecting the wolf than the sheep.
Bob is doing exactly what He commands us to do in warning others of false teachers. To say otherwise, and to falsely accuse him as you have done, is to go against that which God has commanded.

Acts 20:28-31 8Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers.[a] Be shepherds of the church of God,[b] which he bought with his own blood. 29I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. 30Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. 31So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.

Romans 16:17 17I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.

1 Tim 1:3-4 3As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain men not to teach false doctrines any longer 4nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. These promote controversies rather than God's work—which is by faith.

2 Tim 4:2-4 2Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 3For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

Titus 1:9 9He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.

Matt 7:15,16 15"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16By their fruit you will recognize them.

There are more verses - you get the gist.

It is also clear that you do not understand why the Lord singled out the Pharisees and Sadducees by your connection of them and Bob.

A brief rundown:

These groups were the two dominant religious parties in Israel. In God’s providence these two groups are representative of the two main heretical tendencies that are found throughout history.

The Pharisees' doctrine was dangerous because they founded their authority upon oral law or human traditions and as a result were legalistic, self-righteous and formalistic. The Pharisees believed that in addition to the written law there was also an authoritative oral law passed down through history by various leaders, prophets and rabbis. While they formally accepted the authority of the Old Testament, their traditions in practice were more important than the Bible because they were used to interpret the Scriptures. As a result they held to a number of heresies. One is they believed in salvation by law-keeping. Consequently, they denied salvation by grace through faith alone. They “fenced” the law with all sorts of silly man-made rules and regulations so that sanctification consisted in ritual observances instead of learning and obeying the law itself. Hopefully, you can see that your accusation does not apply.

My words may seem harsh to someone who does not want to hear it, but believe me I only say these things out of concern and LOVE towards His sheep. I hate to see anyone lead astray by false doctrine. From what I've seen, Bob Hunter is doing exactly what a servant is supposed to be doing. By exposing these false teachers, he is exhibiting love towards his brothers & sisters. Remember, "love" is not so much HOW you say something, but WHY you say it.

Bob, may the Lord continue to less your ministry. Great site!

Blessings,
Carol
