A Stroll Down Y2K Memory Lane

Check out this "Time Bomb 2000" ad from Jack Van Impe, where all hell was expected to break loose in 14 months when the clock struck midnight 2000 AD. And you could have bought this emergency DVD for only $24.95. I'm not sure what Jack would have done with the money in the midst of the Y2K crisis though since he wouldn't have been able to get to it in his bank account.

What's interesting is that after nothing happened, Y2K apologists tried to claim that it was all the millions of dollars spent reprogramming computers that staved off the crisis. However as documented facts show, many countries didn't have the money to do all that reprogramming and did nothing. And nothing happened as a result in 2000 (and also 2001 when some tried to claim that 2001 was the real Y2K.

What bombed was Van Impe's predictions which isn't surprising. He's been wrong consistently for years.
